HERE'S A 'LIL
My current signature style was born from my love of making art out of everyday items, well, that and an overflowing recycling bin. I never made a conscious decision to be a "green" artist, my work emerged organically and is still evolving.
In an effort to help preserve Mother Earth I use non-toxic acrylic paints, magazine collage’, maps, various papers and an eclectic array of objects initially intended for other projects.
I believe there is enough negativity in the world so my work includes positive affirmations and poetry that I've created and collected over the years. “Beneath the Trees...” is inspired by my appreciation of nature and the Funkalicious Females series honors the beauty & diversity of the wonderful women in my life. I've also created miniature canvases which make great gifts for family & friends, as well as for yourself; as I like to say, "To me, from me, with love."
Along with creating one of a kind art by commission I also participate in art festivals and special events. I pay it forward by volunteering for various charity events including Chairish the Future, benefitting the Furniture Bank of Metro Atlanta. Also, a portion of the profits from the series, "...With or Without Hair" is donated to The American Cancer Society.

IT'S ABOUT TIME...
Jane Fonda invited Radcliffe Bailey, Victoria Rowell and other celebrities and artists to participate in IKEA’s 3rd Annual It's About Time art auction and cocktail party to benefit G-CAPP's Second Chance Home program. Up for auction were 100 clocks and other timepieces that had been transformed into amazing works of art. All designs were inspired by the concept of time and created with clocks provided by IKEA. I integrated a clock into my canvas below, which was featured on Jane's Fonda's blog. http://www.janefonda.com/g-capps-ikea-event/
